26th February 2001 - Orsos
We've not had an update here for a while as our FTP server was a bit screwed, but fret not,
we're still here. FOG-Europe is going real strong. We've got quite a lot of members now, and
even have game teams. Which is quite fun.
We've had a new joiner too Lost_In_The[FOG]. You may know him as Stav. Welcome aboard dude.

7th February 2001 - CryptO
After a long 6 month hiatus from the game of UT, I've decided to return.
With my return comes the return of the [FOG] US server. I admit I missed
the great plays and the great players not to mention the pulse-pounding
action that only UT can deliver. What I didn't miss are the myriad of wild
accusations of 'cheater'. I was accused of using an aimbot and in my absence
I had no idea what an 'aimbot' was. Turns out there is a mod (funbot.u)
that will automatically fire at an enemy's head when they are in your vicinity.
To keep the game competitive and to keep the lamers from ruining everyone's
fun, a mod was made to counter the aimbot as well as various other known
cheats. [CSHP] Client-Side Hack Protection was installed on the US server
on Feb 6. Rest assured, [FOG] will do everything in its power to continue
providing lamer-free play on its servers. I've also optimized the T1 connection
with the help of webRocket. So what are you waiting for? Jump in!
On a better note, the US side of [FOG] is currently recruiting. The
recruiting process will involve sending us an email and setting up a sparring
time. We will be entering several ladders in the upcoming weeks, so if
you think your skills can compliment an already solid squad of players,
drop us a line.
28th January 2001 - Orsos
We've had an amazing new year. FOG has grown in size with a few new players
and a few old players returning to the fold. It's gotten so we have 14
players in the UK to play in leagues. The members
page has also been updated today so pop by and have a look.
We've also had some good fun in the Wireplay leagues. We haven't lost
a game this year at all. Great effort by all the players.
It's also been nice to see the new Forum really being used a lot. Hat's
off to Jaruzel on some xlnt work. He's also got some new stuff in the pipeline.
Can't wait.
Finally, as most people are probably aware, Barrysworld is shutting
up shop. This is real sad news for the online gaming world. Sorry to see
you go guys, you've been doing some amazing stuff over the years.
15th January 2001 - Jaruzel
All I do these days is update this site ;) Erm... The Forum now supports
smileys and clickable http links will be next. The Forum is very much 'under
development' so get your suggestions in quick before I lose interest.
New Link on the Navibar under Resources - [FOG] Tactics, this area of
the site will hopefully expand to contain every trick and tip under the
sun for winning those matches. The link is password protected, Foghat members
can ask in the Chat Channels for the details.
Re-instatement of the Female FOG Skin. Although her picture has been
on the skin page for some time, the zip was strangely absent from the Files
area (mainly because we lost her!), but shes back now so if you haven't
already got her, she waiting for you under 'Must Have Files'
Next biggy change will be the new news system which should allow all
members to post news via an easy to use web interface. The idea being that
we can all post news items relevent to UT or FPS gaming whenever we feel
like it and hopefully continue to make this one of the best clan sites
in the world!
